Hello, I am Adrian Callaghan

I have a honours degree in computer science, and can program in MANY languages.

I am currently working as a professional web developer for THUK-Media in bedford I have also recently been given the additional role of server-administrator, which is kinda cool!

I mainly like to work with logical instructions, and blackbox designs, I enjoy writing applications, but lately have been really enjoying PHP.

Primarily a Java programmer, I have been migrating my understanding of Java (sun) into PHP-5`s OOP environment.

At the moment I have the fortune of working alongside some very talented and skilled colleagues.

Notably the head of development takes the time to show me some very cool AJAX techniques using JQuery with PHP/JavaScript/Css etc, which is always appreciated.

Although I am supposed to be studying my masters now, I have taken a gap year to concentrate on my work, so I am due to start my Msc in september 2009.

In terms of martial arts, I hold a 2nd in Tang Soo Doo, thats not a yellow belt, as rankings run in reverse order, I was asked to grade for my 1st , but to be honest I am a little frightened of snapping bricks with my bare hand so I have postponed that one for now, but I plan to face it soon!

I can also play the guitar, and can play most things from Oasis to Dire Straits and write my own stuff.

I have five children and one step daughter, and a really pretty gf!, hence all the kids!

erm thats pretty much it, O and I gave up smoking 6 years ago, by cold turkey!, hence all the sudden fitness that has now tappered off

lastly I learnt to drive about 6 years ago, and have caused at least one multiple car pile up!

and I recently found out I needed glasses, so I look like a complete gimp now!
